Trip Home, Part II (Ithaca-Boston)
I'm back in Boston now; this is being written from JMD's couch, with a very placid purring cat next to me.
Today's trip was relative uneventful. The day started with brunch in Ithaca at Cafe DeWitt, with Jofish and friends (including cyberlyra and inkandpen)--I think it's become my favorite way to start the day before I drive away, during these visits. Many thanks to Jofish for his hospitality, as always.

Made it to the Massachusetts border during daylight hours. Speaking of which, I keep on meaning to visit Mass MoCA, but North Adams isn't really far away enough to be a good overnight stopping point.

Cafe Dewitt brunch rocks. After everything in Jofish's domain, it's my favorite bit of Ithaca.
Sometimes I wonder if I really am gay; I don't much care for brunch. I'd be much more apt to just get a scone and an amazing latté at Gimme!.
This last time I was in Ithaca, I realized I think I've done brunch every morning I've spent in Ithaca. I think my favorite was Cafe Dewitt, though, where we had creme brulee french toast - it was a special of the day, and all of us were intrigued, but none of us felt up to eating it by ourselves so we got one for the table. Yum!
Well, I thought about Gimme!, but I decided that falls in Jofish's domain, since he gets the beans and makes cafe au lait at home. Though the intense coffee smell is better at the store.
